Stone Crushing

We were commissioned to carry out the stone crushing works on a demolition site in Gateshead. We used our Kirpy Stone Crusher to crush the surface stones before the landscaping works could take place. This operation is a cost effective option for our customers; days of work can be done in hours.

Flood Alleviation - Pond Clearance

Our Project team have recently completed a flood alleviation project for Hepscott village. We created a storage pond to help prevent flooding in the village. The pond is designed to store the increase in rainwater and then allows it to drain away in a controlled manner.

River Erosion Installation

Our contract was to divert the existing course of the river and install a larch erosion barrier, to prevent further erosion from taking place. This project was more than just installing a barrier, this work was part of a conservation project. Before we could start the work approximately 30 fish (including salmon, brown trout and minnows) were caught by an environmental team and then released back into the river to allow them to continue their onward journey. Dumpy bags were used to dam the river to create a dry working area. This allowed us to install a natural wood erosion barrier made from local larch. The new wood barrier will blend in beautifully with the countryside as time passes.
